.i had my third adventure today. my lip cracked. like literally CRACKED. blood came out.. freaky fries lor.. i couldn't even SMILE or LAUGH... it was tough.. and thanks to jas and weili and yishan, didn't help lor.. kept trying to make me laugh.. but i applied ALOT of lip bum.. now it's better.. =D no more crack.. =D
.is it possible to have a best friend for your entire life?

heh.. actually i don't know what to blog about leh.. but i just feel like blogging.. hahahaa!
oh today i skipped a lecture leh.. hahahaha!
'cos it was raining very heavily in the morning, then i felt very sian to wake up.. 'cos my lecture is at 8am... so i went back to sleep.. and when i woke up again, it was 7am already.. 7am should be the time i leave the house.. hahahaha!
then i thought to myself, aiya forget it lah.. today i only have one lecture.. no use rushing down and then maybe only attend 1 hour of the lecture.. then come home again.. and i was thinkin maybe i can take a cab down.. but then i don't have any money.. like i'm seriously BROKE.. only have maybe two dollars in my wallet? and five dollars in my bank account? =( =( =( =( =( so i also cannot take taxi down.. so i didn't to sleep in.. =D
so now here i am.. hahahhaa!
later i must go and buy my soya bean drink 'cos i need to do a project on it.. which is due this friday but i haven't even started... then i think i shall study my biodiversity... =D
oh!!! the other time the biodiversity pract right, we had a field trip to the zoo, and after the trip there was a mcq test.. got the results back already.. guess what i got? wahahahaha!!! i only got 1 miserable percent out of 5 percent leh! wahahahahaha! never mind never mind.. it's ok.. hahahaha! =D in fact i'm not worried or scared or anything, i just found it funny.. hahaha! everything's in Jesus' hands! =D
now i'm just looking forward to my amazing race later tonight!! =D and the nine o'clock chinese show on channel eight.. i can't believe i'm watching it.. hahahaha! but very long never watch chinese drama already lah.. heh =D lalalaa! =D

this i must tell.. =D
today during my 8am organic chem lecture, i was like falling asleep..
then during lecture, i thought to myself, shall i just pon it1003 and st1232 tutorials today?
then i made up my mind, yes! i shall just pon those two tutorials..
don't know why, i just felt really, sian? tired? just not in the mood.. just dont want to go for tutorials at all.
and plus the it1003 tutorial was a class discussion today. a debate-style kind of thing. and my friends would know, i'm not the kind who would speak up in class. i don't dare. hahahaha! so i was really dreading this tutorial.
and the st1232 tutorial right, i didn't do the homework. so.. yeah.. thought it would be no point going..
so i really made up my mind.. then i told yishan, weili and pam.. then they tried convincing me to go for tutorial and not pon, then i told them, "no, i made up my mind already, don't try to persuade me."
so after organice chem was stats lecture, then yishan and weili kept asking me to go for tutorials.. but then i was nooooo.. hahahah!
then after stats lecture, i was like, ok! go home! =D
then my mood was really quite sad.. as in, when i looked at weili and yishan i would be sad sad... then they will be, why???!! hahahaha!
so after stats lecture i walked ahead first.. then yishan and weili were behind me..
then as i was walking.. i was talking to God.. i was like, "Lord!! how how how?? should i go or not?? will it be ok if i don't go?? i'll go home and study!"... hahaha! then i was asking Him whether it was Him i was hearing.. hahahah! i was sort of like saying out loud. thank God no one was around me. hahahah!
then after awhile i was like, "aiya Lord! i know that if i go for the it1003 tutorial, You will surely make it good! whatever that's in Your hands is good! =D"
so.. i went for tutorial.
hahahaha!
and tell you, it was really good!! i contributed three points!! wahahahaha! and i wasn't afraid at all! is He good or what? hahahah! =D for the past tutorials since the start of sch, everytime when we have class discussion i always just keep quiet and listen to other people's contributions.. although i myself have points to contribute.. but i scared to raise my hands and voice out my opinions..
all i can say is, praise God!! woohoo! heh =D

heh.. i've always known that the skin underneath my nails will turn really purple (go see the picture:
http://community.webshots.com/photo/481029440/482051925cqHpDA# ) when i'm cold (in cold rooms).. but i've never really found out the reason behind this "phenomenon".. heh.. =D so yesterday i decided to go "research" on why it is so.. heh.. =D
so what happens when we are in a cold environment? the body slows down blood flow to the skin.. especially to parts of the body furthest away from the heart (i.e. fingers and toes). this prevents further loss in heat from the body.. 'cos if less blood reaches the skin, less heat is lost through conduction. the heart will pump more blood to the vital organs.
frostbites actually occurs when the body temperature significantly falls below a certain temperature.. then the blood vessels to the fingers and toes will permenantly constrict and blood supply is totally cut off.. this is to prevent very cold blood from reaching the rest of the body.. that's when all your fingers and toes start to fall off.. but fear not, unless you're a climber... the chances of you getting frostbites are very very very very lowww.. heh.. =D
anyway, so yeah.. my purple fingernails.. quite freaky.. the thing is that i don't know why my fingernails turn purple while most of my friends' remain nice and pink..
according to me, there are two possible reasons..
1. my heart is not strong enough to pump blood to my vital organs, and at the same time maintain a reasonable flow of blood to my fingertips.. therefore, it has to resort to channelling all its energy in pumping blood to my vital organs, and neglecting blood flow to my fingertips.. hence, my purple nails.. =D
2. my blood vessels are slightly clogged with FATS so that blood flow to my fingertips is really quite hard? hahaha! not sure leh..
any doctors/soon-to-be doctors reading this? can tell me what's the real reason? heh.. =D actually i think there are a few reasons lah.. just that which is true for me.. =D

i MUST tell you all about my little adventure!!! wahahahah! =D
ok, so jasmine has been asking me whether i want to go to donate blood.. but i've not been very interested lah.. as in i didn't mind.. but i wasn't like super enthusiatic about it..
so anyway today i was suppose to accompany her to donate blood (NUS had a blood donation run).. so we were suppose to meet at 11am (after my tutorial), but then jas was late so i went to the hall first.. then before that i was thinking that i don't mind donating also lah.. if my blood was suitable.. so i bought a custard polo bun and a spring roll.. then i ate half a bun while waiting for the bus..
so when i reached there.. i signed up and then registered and then met the doctor.. then the doctor asked whether i've had my lunch.. then i was like no.. just half a bun.. then he asked me to go and have something and have a cup of water.. so i did.. i finished my bun and spring roll and had a packet of water.. by then jas was there already, and she was waiting to see the doctor
so i had my blood test, and then i laid down on the stretcher-bed kind of thing..
so the nurse sterilised the area in front of my elbow, and then injected the local anesthetic.. it wasn't painful at all.. yupyup.. then she inserted the needle to draw my blood.. so everything was going smoothly.. and i was sms-ing all that.. oh ya, jas was lying on the stretch right next to me..
so the blood was being drawn out from me.. i felt ok.. then slowly, i felt abit nauseous.. then i thought i should sleep, so that i won't feel the nausia.. so i closed my eyes and tried to sleep and prayed in tongues...
then i felt like my whole body's energy was being drained. then i felt alseep...
then the next thing i saw was that i opened my eyes, and i saw the lights on the ceiling of the hall.. and i heard alot of people around me, and i felt my stretcher being lowered to horizontal level..
for a moment, when i just opened my eyes, i didn't know where i was.. then a moment later, i remembered... eh? i was at the hall donating blood..
so what really happened was that i fainted.. heh.. =D
the nurses took out the needle from my vein and bandaged my arm.. they used cute bandages!!! had dinosaurs on them.. =D mine was green.. there was pink and blue too! =D (

so now my body posture was that my whole body was horizontal, except my legs which were elevated.. yup..
then i was just told to rest..
as i started to recover.. i asked jas what happened.. then she said she also don't know.. she just turned to look at me then she saw that i was like fainting.. as in like my eyes were closed, and my body was like sliding to the side.. and my lips were pale.. heh.. then she said she put out her hand to prevent me from falling.. then she shouted for the nurses to save me.. hahahaha! 'cos all the nurses had their backs to me.. heh.. =D thank you jas!!!! =D
yup.. so that's my little adventure.. hahaha actually the whole thing happened really fast.. from when i closed my eyes until i opened them again right, i remember being unconscious leh.. but to me i felt as though i was just dreaming/sleeping.. yeah.. =D didn't even know that i fainted.. =D
quite sad, 'cos i didn't get to donate a full bag of blood.. so in the end all the blood that got drawn out from my body was wasted.. =( =( =(
so an advice to all you out there who want to donate blood... have a FULL meal and LOTS of water before you go donate blood.. seriously.. no joke.. =D
so i was just resting, and jas (who was also her first time donating blood and also didn't have any food before donating blood except a packet of milo) carried on with her blood donation.. it went smoothly.. she managed to donate a full bag of blood.. but then after the needle was removed from her vein, she felt giddy, and had to lie down flat too.. so, really, please have a full meal =D
exciting right? interesting right? hahahaha! this is one of the most exciting things that have happened in my life.. hahaha! please DON'T tell my mummy about it.. she'll flip.. hahahaha! i think she's very against the idea of us donating blood.. heh.. =D
anyway, i'm fine now.. what i was just worried about was that i couldn't go for my chem practical.. which was at 1pm.. yeah.. in the end i was late for my pract.. but i was fine throughout the whole pract.. =D praise God! =D He protects me.. =D
but one thing.. i don't know whether i would want to go donate blood again.. heh =D

woohoo! i'm blogging again! hahaha! =D oh hey, go to my korkor's blog.. then there's this small little test over there to see how fast your brain works.. =D there's like this picture, and you're suppose to spot a man hidding inside... and i PROMISE you all that it's not a trick picture, whereby a ghost will pop out.. i PROMISE.. at first when my korkor asked me to do the test, i was so afraid that a ghost will pop out, so i didn't dare to stare at it.. heh.. =D

heh heh.. i'm back! hahaha! =D ok lah, sorry lah, i should blog more.. sorry serene.. you ask me to blog more 'cos you don't know what's going on with me now right? heh.. okok.. i tell you.. heh.. =D
actually nothing much lah.. just that last week and this week are quite busy for me.. 'cos last week i had two and a half projects due, and had my Information Systems test.. so quite xiong.. plus the fact that i don't know why i become more slack now.. hahahaha! but then, praise God that i managed to survive the week! heh =D it's really all by His grace.. heh =D
then over the weekend.. wa! also super packed.. hahahah!
saturday morning i went for the Paul and Joe birthday party at Isetan at Lido.. heh.. wa.. the chocolate cake they had was HEAVENLY.. hahaha! but i controlled myself and shared a slice with my jiejie.. but it was really really good.. wonder where they got it from.. heh =D
then at the party they had daniel ong and grace chua (the DJs) to host it.. then they had this pro makeup artist, greg-o, to do a demostration of Paul and Joe's new autumn collection on grace chua.. heh.. he was SO gay.. but really funny and entertaining.. hahaha! he puts mascara on, wakes up in the morning and tells himself that he's a new girl every morning.. hahaha! but it was funny lah.. actually it's quite interesitng to see how gays behave.. 'cos most of them are quite open about it.. =D
then after that had lunch with xuefen and jiejie at mos.. then we started to talk about cars 'cos xuefen had a project on it.. then jiejie was telling us about BMW's interesting advertising means.. and Britney Spear's Curious perfume advertising means too.. very interesting.. heh =D
then after lunch i went to church for the children's church new servers training meeting kind of thing.. heh.. =D it was really good.. heh.. i fell alseep abit.. but i was really trying my best to keep my eyes open! hahaha!
then after that i went back home 'cos jasmine wanted to come over to bathe.. hahaha! then we went to paul's birthday party together.. heh
the party was at this restuarant called Grand Phoeny at alexandra road there.. right beside SAJC.. the food was really not bad! heh.. =D next time i shall suggest to my family to go there for dinner.. heh =D nice atmosphere too.. 'cos we were sitting outdoors.. =D
then we left earlier than the rest, 'cos jas had another party to go to, and she hasn't gotten any present, so we went to wisma's topman to go eat a shirt.. it's quite a cute shirt! hahaha! it says, "greg has got a drinking problem", then the picture is of a guy who couldn't aim the cup to his mouth, so the beer just shot past his face.. heh.. =D
then after that i went to PS to buy food for my korkor and mummy.. then i went home to do my powerpoint slides for my project presenation which was on monday! =D
ok, then sunday in the morning i went for this cip briefing at the Singapore Association for the Visually-Handicapped... you know i got lost trying to find the place.. hahaha! i was walking in the completely opposite direction, so in the end i just took a cab.. hahaha! then the briefing was quite interesting! heh =D
they also taught us on how to guide the blind.. then hazel and i partnered up.. and we took turns being the blind person (wore a blindfold), and took turns leading the blind.. fun fun! heh =D gris, ujin, kaixiang and daniel were there too! heh =D we're going to give out flyers this coming saturday.. heh.. =D 'cos this coming saturday is White Cane Day.. =D
then after that ujin's papa came with the car. then ujin drove us to church! hahahaha! it was safe.. hahahah! 'cos he just got his license two to three days going.. heh.. but he was not bad lah.. hahahaha!
then i rushed over to children's church to serve holy communion.. =D
then after that i rushed down to harbourfront for my project meeting.. hahaha.. it's was really a packed weekend! heh =D
then on monday was my presentation already.. and the night before i only rehearsed my part once through.. 'cos i was very sian.. hahahah! so on monday before my tutorial for my presentation was statistics lecture, then i really couldn't listen to the lecturer at all.. i was so nervous! hahahahaha! then i started to pray in tongues.. hahahah! then i was the first time in any lecture that i rested my head on the table and slept.. hahaha!
so the presentation.. i guess it was ok lah.. but i felt as though i was rushing through the thing.. and at points where i don't know what else to say right, i was like, "um ya.." hahahah! then next slide! hahahahaha! but i am soOOO relieved that it's over!!!!! hahahahaha! so so so SO relieved.. hahahaha! anyway our tutor told us that although we exceeded the time limit, but we were one of the highest scoring group in the class.. which to me it's really unbelievable... hahahaha!
(wow! my mummy just made for me green apple juice! it's really yummy! heh.. sweet.. =D )
then yesterday kahyi came to nus to have lunch together.. he had leave from army.. yupyup.. then scfour girls met up.. yan bin and claire joined us initially too.. heh.. =D so it was dawn, rou an, me, jasmine and gladys.. heh.. quite nice lah.. =D
then after that left with me, kahyi and jasmine.. then we were talking about some stuff.. i was reallllly shocked to hear the news.. can't believe it man.. stunned..
anyway then after that we went to patronize tallteng's hot dogs booth.. 'cos she's doing fund-raising for the cambodia cip trip to build a new house for the little kids or something like that lah.. yupyup.. then we talk talk tallk.. oh!! must tell you all something.. the poster for her booth is very bad leh! hahaha! 'cos they're selling hot dogs right? so the picture was of a cute little doggie, then below it they put fire. hahahahah! and there were three of such pictures! so mean right?!!! hahahah like cooking the cute little dog.. hahaha!
anyway then after that i went to far east 'cos i wanted to buy for xuefen something.. but then no more already.. then i just started to walk around by myself.. hahaha! then i went to taka and looked at the gifts section.. then got so many cute stationery! hahaha! that kept me occupied for quite awhile.. hahaha! then i was also searching for a handphone pouch for my handphone.. 'cos previously i've been using shopping bags and ziplock bags for my handphone.. hahaha! 'cos really don't have any pouch mah.. then i really don't want it to be scratched.. new handphone mah.. very precious one.. hahaha!
then in the end found something.. heh.. it's not the typical handphone couch.. ok imagine a zip lock bag. but then the plastic is hard plastic. and the zip has something we you slide across the opening.. get what i mean? heh.. =D not like the typical ziplock bag where the zipping mechanism is "inside" the bag.. heh.. =D yeah but i want to buy stickers to decorate it! hhahaha! =D
then after that i met my mummy for dinner at sakae.. heh.. oh!!! you know i don't know why they don't sell unagi anymore!!!! why??!! i was thinking must be the fishermen cannot find any unagi.. or maybe all the tsunamis and typhoons has displaced all the unagi.. hahahaha!
then after that i came home and wanted to do my chem lab report. actually lunch was suppose to be from 1pm to 2pm only.. then in the end i only left school at around four.. hahahaha.. and then walked around orchard until 8 something.. hahahaha! naughty jia.. hahaha! so anyway, when i got home i got distracted again.. hahaha! then was just using the internet instead of doing my lab report.. heh.. =D
but in the end i did start lah.. only at 12 plus.. hahaha! so now i'm awake early early.. wanting to do my report.. but then i decided to visit my blog to see whether anyone tagged.. then really got, so now instead of doing my report i'm blogging.. hahahaha!
today's my free day.. after completing my lab report (which is due tmr!) must start studying for my statistics test (which is on thursday!)! hahahah really busy right? hahahah! =D but i guess it makes life more exciting... hahaha! i think i'm the kind who likes to be busy.. like run here run there do things.. ahahahah! crazy hor? hahaha! but i know that when i'm busy right, i am completely helpless, that's when Jesus takes over completely, and He does eveything.. 'cos i know that i in myself confirm cannot finish all my work one.. i'm so lazy lah! hahahaha! =D
ok lah, jerald, serene, i stop here and go do my lab report ok? =D the questions for this practical is quite hard! heh =D i hope you two are doing good in US and canada too! heh =D jia you jia you! heh =D

oh no!!! i want to add TWO more things can? heh.. =D just remembered only....
1. yesterday i had chem lecture lah.. then my lecturer is this old scottish man.. so anyway, he uses transparencies to teach us lah.. so he was teaching us these reactions.. then 'cos he wanted to change the -OH group on phenol to Y, a general group lah.. so you know what he did??!!! he put his finger into his mouth, took out some saliva, and then cleaned the -OH off the transparency!!! and there were ALOT of -OH to clean off! after cleaning off one, he would put his finger (with the ink!!!) back into his mouth, take some more saliva and clean the next one!! super sick right?! hahahaha! then the whole lecture group was like "eeeee" hahahah! then we laugh laugh..
then very funny 'cos a while after that right, he got very silent.. hahahah! then i was telling my friend," maybe the ink is taking its effect now." hahahahahahahaha!
2. my friend from hwa chong was telling about how the chinese high guys in hwa chong right, after pe they don't bring towel, so they'll just use the toilet paper to clean their bodies.. so i think they always like mess up the toilet lah.. so the cleaner went to complain lah.. then so one day during assembly the principle made an annoucement, "you students cannot wipe your birdies with toilet paper!" hahahahahhahahahahaha!!! you know why he said "birdies" right? think of how to pronounce "everybody".... hahahahahahhahahahahahahha! SUPER funny lah! hahahahahahaha! =D =D =D =D
